Cashmere House is the brand behind the platform CashmereHouse.com, where we are working to develop an international structure for authentic Mongolian cashmere.

For nearly two decades, we have worked with cashmere in Norway, building strong relationships with producers and partners closely connected to Mongolia – the heartland of the world’s finest cashmere.

Today we are looking outward internationally. Our ambition is to bring warmth, comfort and timeless elegance to customers around the world through Mongolian cashmere, while contributing to a more open and responsible value chain. We believe true cashmere should not be reserved for the few, but become a natural part of a modern wardrobe – combining everyday comfort with lasting quality.

Over the years we have developed close collaborations with producers, designers and industry specialists connected to Mongolia. Our connection to Mongolia is not only professional – it is also personal. Through family ties and long-standing relationships, we have built a close understanding of the craftsmanship, culture and the herder families living on the Mongolian steppes.

This experience forms the foundation of Digital Cashmere Cluster (DCC) – an initiative developed by Cashmere House with the aim of building a more open and transparent structure where producers, designers and smaller market participants can collaborate within a global value chain.

Every garment we offer represents respect for the raw material, the people behind its production and the traditions behind the world’s most sought-after natural fibre. Mongolia produces around 40% of the world’s raw cashmere and is widely recognized for delivering some of the finest fibres available.

 Digital Cashmere Cluster (DCC)

Cashmere House is now entering a new phase through the development of Digital Cashmere Cluster. This is a collaborative model where selected producers, designers and experts within the cashmere industry can work together in a more open structure.

Through DCC we aim to connect origin, design and market more closely. By reducing the number of intermediaries, we seek to strengthen transparency in the value chain and create better conditions for quality, traceability and responsible production.

At the same time, we are opening the door for designers from different parts of the world to develop collections in authentic Mongolian cashmere in collaboration with our production partners.

In this way, Cashmere House is gradually evolving from a Norwegian store into an international platform for cashmere.

Some collections are also launched as Limited Collections, produced in limited quantities for the season and to test new designs in the international market.

 Cashmere House is built on close collaboration between our suppliers and herder families in Mongolia. We work to strengthen transparency and responsibility throughout the value chain while supporting development that protects nature, animal welfare and local communities.

When CashmereHouse.com reaches 40,000 annual sales, it is our intention to allocate 2% of surplus revenue to initiatives supporting nature conservation, animal welfare and sustainable herding traditions in Mongolia.
